[Perhaps it's a bit clumsy, admittedly. However, for all of its inelegance, he can't stop thinking of how warm it is. This was something he never accounted for, that perhaps Dimitri wanted also.

He truly cannot remember feeling so calm and yet joyful at the same time.

It seems too cruel to pull away, but he does gently break the kiss.]

It will be difficult to not ask for too much of that.

[hauntedking]

I... I know what you mean.

[ He laughs. ] I'm feeling much the same way. I'd love to have more of it.

[deduety]

You need only tell me, and I will be glad to provide.

[There's some momentary hesitation before he delicately tucks some of his prince's hair behind an ear. He feels greedy, stealing this moment away, even if it is evidently something they both had yearned for sometime now. How careful Dedue needs to be to care for and protect this between them.]

I would... truly give you anything.

[hauntedking]

I... I know. That's why I wasn't sure - I wouldn't want you to do something because you felt indebted. But - but if this is how you truly feel...

[ He breathes out and he leans in a little. There's just the two of them in the darkness of the library and a part of him feels guilty for it. He reaches up to card fingers through Dedue's hair, letting the texture brush against his fingertips. ]

[He's unable to help himself but lean into the touch, smiling faintly.]

It is. Nothing could change that.

[Even if there ever came a day in which Dimitri has changed his mind, Dedue could not see his own heart changing. It is Dimitri's to do as he wishes with.]

I know you will be concerned, but I will remind you as often as you need: I am yours, because it is what I wish. No other reason.

[hauntedking]

Then...

[ Dimitri pauses and then speaks up again, sounding determined. ]

Then I am yours, as well. That is what I want.

[deduety]

[There's a childish part of him that thinks that this could be a dream, one that he would like to not end. But it is real as the prince before him, and Dedue can't help but desperately squeeze Dimitri's hand.]

May I kiss you again?

[He would beg, if asked to. Gladly he would beg.]

[hauntedking]

Yes. As many times as you like.

[ His response is a low laugh that carries through the quiet of the dim and darkened library and then he leans in to take that second kiss. He allowsi t to lnger, long and slow and electric. ]

[The kiss is given, even as Dedue tries to not appear too eager he can't change what's in his heart. Anxiously, he meets Dimitri's lips again, a bit more confidence than before. Both his hands come up, tenderly cupping Dimitri's face, trying so hard to express all that he feels right in this moment. How much he treasures and loves his prince.

His loyalty is not given out of debt. It's given because as far as he's concerned, everything he has to offer has long since been earned.]

[hauntedking]

[ Dimitri presses back, a bit clumsy but just as eager. His heart is soaring, beating rapidly against his rib cage as he tries to catch his breath. It's nearly impossible, though. There's too much going on - he feels too much. The press of lips, the slickness of it, the warmth, the heat. He leans up, leans in, and one of his hands filters into Dedue's hair as he forgets himself. The legs of his chair scrape against the floor as he tries to get closer. ]

[deduety]

[The screech of the chair abruptly makes Dedue feel bold. With a huff through his nose, he nudges Dimitri to step back, back until he can insist he sit on one of the desks. It doesn't quite even out the height difference, but they're able to meet better this way. Thumbs stroke down Dimitri's cheeks, adoring him. He doesn't want to stop, but he is still just a mortal man.

He breaks only for breath, but he still drags his lips to kiss at the side of Dimitri's mouth, shuddering against him. They're both indeed still stumbling into this, but it's still perfect. At least in Dedue's eyes.]

[hauntedking]

[ Dimitri makes a soft little "oh" sound when he settles onto the desk and then he laughs, eyes fluttering half-open as he regards Dedue with a fondness the defies description. His legs part and he tugs him closer, pressing kisses against the corner's of his mouth and then his chin. Now that the floodgates are open, he finds himself unable to stop. But is that really such a bad thing? ]

Dedue...

[ He murmurs his name with a sort of reverence. ]

[deduety]

[There's still that small voice inside, telling him that he's taking too much, how inappropriate it is to receive such sweet affections from his prince. But he is spurred on by the lips pressing down his face, legs parting for him, Dedue's breath coming out sharper.

And he hears his name, spoken like it were divine.

Hands hesitantly travel down to Dimitri's hips and waist, resting until he gently squeezes. Dedue tips his head, catching Dimitri's lips, kissing him a bit more fiercely before trailing down to his neck.]

You're beautiful, Dimitri. [He breathes this against him, unable to resist.]

[hauntedking]

[ None of this is really appropriate. But here he is, kissing Dedue again and again, hands trying to find a grip on his clothing, desperately wanting more. More of his heat, of his scent, of the feel of his solidity under his hands. The squeeze against his waist and hip earns a little noise and then his head goes back, a hand dropping to brace himself against the desk. He's too caught up in this to think about stopping. ]

Dedue... Dedue, please-

[ He groans softly. ]

[deduety]

[The sound is brief and small, but it burns in the pit of Dedue's stomach, driving him. He shudders against Dimitri, wanting so much, but restraining himself.

Well. He had, until he heard the plea, the groan.]

Tell me what you wish for.

[And he would gladly provide.]

[hauntedking]

I wish - I wish for you.

[ He laughs, still breathless, lips kiss-bruised. ]

That sounds ridiculous. Like I'm out of a romance novel or something. But it's true.

[deduety]

[A gentle smile forms on Dedue's face, and he leans in to press a kiss to Dimitri's jawline.]

And you have me. Yet, what would you do with me now?

[In his way, it's a bit of teasing. Another kiss, over Dimitri's pulse, slow and careful.]

[hauntedking]

I... I don't know yet.

[ Dimitri laughs. ]

Keep you, I suppose. If you'll let me.

[deduety]

You need not ask for what you already have.

[A simpler brand of affection, Dedue carefully pulls Dimitri into an embrace. Lips find his temple, sweet and light.]

Keep me, for as long as you will have me. I am yours.

[hauntedking]

[ Dimitri feels like his heart might burst. He buries his face into the crook of Dedue's neck and wraps his arms around him in a tight squeeze. He's felt... lost for a long time. Constrained, as if he's been putting on a front for the rest of the world.

This feels different. ]

Then... for as long as our lives last.

[ Which is... perhaps overdramatic, but it's Dimitri. ]

[deduety]

[It's warm, bringing out a calm in Dedue that he so rarely feels. However, it's always associated with Dimitri, anyway. How rarely he could allow his defenses to come down around others.

He presses another kiss to Dimitri's forehead. It's a terribly romantic thing to say, but Dedue has no disagreement.]

I wish to be no where else. When I became your vassal, I saw only my future intertwined with you.

So it is no different now. I am yours, here and forevermore.

[hauntedking]

You don't need to be my vassal forever, Dedue. I... I want us to be equals. Even if I can't make that come true yet.

[ When he's king... when he's king he can change things. ]

[deduety]

I know that you will do all that you can, when it is in your power to do so. For now, please continue to allow me to act as your sword and shield... but in addition, as well as what you ask of my heart.

For I will give it to you.

[hauntedking]

Then... all I ask of you is that you stay with me, for as long as you're happy to.

[ He doesn't want to constrain his friend. But he's also a little selfish. ]

...and maybe grant me another kiss.

[deduety]

Gladly.

[How strangely terrible it is to break away from the embrace, even if it's just so by a few inches. He touches Dimitri's cheek once again, quietly reveling in his prince's warmth and beauty before he leans in to give him another kiss. At least one more, when Dedue has so much more to give him.

There will be other times, he hopes. He yearns.]
